Interior Glazing


Description

Interior glazing is an option that may replace part of the standard wall construction to allow natural light to penetrate into the interior spaces. Translucent glazing such as frosted or fritted glass helps to allow daylight to enter a space without compromising privacy.

  • Regional Materials: For credit achievement calculation, products sourced (extracted, manufactured, purchased) within 100 miles (160 km) of the project site are valued at 200% of their base contributing cost.

  • Views: Achieve a direct line of sight to the outdoors via vision glazing for 75% (for BD+C and ID+C; 50% for O+M) of all regularly occupied floor area. View glazing in the contributing area must provide a clear image of the exterior, not obstructed by frits, fibers, patterned glazing, or added tints that distort color balance.
