Hot to Order Food


Certain food items are often prepared to-order in front of patrions. These stations are often composed of cooking equipment behind a counter that is used by cafeteria staff to heat or cook food items. Equipment may include a grill or griddle, a wok station, and gas or electric burners. Select equipment that carries an Energy Star label when the option is available, and items that can be fulled powered down when not in use. These stations may also require an exhaust hood over the cooking equipment to maintain air quality and minimize odors in the space.
