Reach in Refrigeration

Description

Refrigerated cooler units can house chilled beverages, salads, and other pre-packaged foods. Units with doors are more efficient than those that are open to the patron as they are able to maintain temperature more consistently. When available, select equipment that carries an Energy Star label. Look for refrigeration equipment that does not use chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) based refrigerants which deplete the ozone.

Lighting in refrigeration units should be LED for maximum efficiency, and should be able to be turned off manually or by timer for non-business hours.
